Horrific sex abuse case is likely to be 'a first' in Staffs, says copper

A HORRIFIC sex abuse case in which a 13-year-old girl was preyed on by three adults was ‘probably the first of its type in Staffordshire’, the policeman who led the investigation has revealed.

Detective Inspector Andy Maxfield, of the county force’s child exploitation team, spoke after the three offenders, all from Burton, were jailed for between eight months and two years at Stafford Crown Court, sentences reported in yesterday’s Mail.

Yasser Rasool, 25, of Branston Road, and Mohammed Sahir, 24, of South Oak Street, took the victim to the Etap Hotel, in Etwall Road, Willington, where they attempted to entice her into sexual activity, the court heard.
